For many years now, our little slice of Florida’s Panhandle has been referred to as “The Forgotten Coast.” This loosely refers to the Gulf of Mexico coastline stretching from Apalachicola, a few miles to our east, to Mexico Beach, a similar distance to the west. Cape San Blas is more or less in the center of this seaside expanse, and there are a wide variety of activities to enjoy while visiting us.
Here, there are expanses of sugar-white sand beaches which have often been ranked among the best in the United States. Visitors enjoy sunbathing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking on the Saint Joseph Bay aquatic preserve, hiking, bird-watching, scalloping in Saint Joseph Bay, riding horses on the beach, and fishing for red snapper, grouper, flounder, mahi-mahi, cobia, and scamp are among the many water-oriented activities that our area offers. If golf is more your speed, there is even a public course in between Cape San Blas and Port St. Joe.
Check out all of these activities and more when you book your Cape San Blas vacation rental.
