Do Me Good

The house was lovely, clean, and huge! It was a short walk to the beach and had everything you could ask for.

We got the kid's together to spend time with the grandparents from oklahoma and could not have have for better facilities at a affordable price. Don't have anything to complain about.

House was perfect for our 3 families. Plenty of bedroom's and space for adults and kids. Huge Kitchen that was perfect for entertaining. Very well stocked for cooking as well.

Do Me Good is perfect for our family. Always hate to leave and already looking forward to next year!

We had a great stay again at Do Me Good. We do have one suggestion for a house that size that 15 people stay for 5 days generates quite a bit of garbage. That house definitely needs 2 trash cans. On Sunday night before we left the bags were over the top and the lid would not close. During the night something got into the garbage and we had to pick up everything that had been scattered Monday morning before we could leave.

Great family vacation.

The Cape was wonderful.
We felt like we didn't get the value we expected in the house. The dishwasher was filthy and smelled of rotten shrimp upon our arrival. We pulled the filter and cleaned it, then cleaned the rest of the dishwasher. It was definitely not the way we expected to start our vacation. The oven under the stove didn't work. The control knob on the washing machine was stripped. Ants swarmed in the chimney, and we saw a few roaches upstairs.

Our family had a great vacation at your rental. We bonded as a family and enjoyed the beauty of the area. The only disruption was all the vehicles on the beach. We even had someone blow their horn at our grandchildren who were tossing a football around. There was a constant flow of traffic on the beach which really disturbed our relaxing.

I had been in contact with Caitlin, who was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. Unfortunately, she was not working check-in day. I was told that they would contact me when cleaning crew were finished so that we could check in between 4-5:30. No one called, so after leaving messages, I finally reached someone that said they would indeed call when the house was ready. I finally called an emergency number, and spoke to someone that gave me the address to pick up keys. It was after 7:00. We had a few maintenance issues, but all were addressed promptly. Other than that, the house was perfect for our 10 guests. We could all eat together in the open kitchen area, with plenty of room for several cooks. The beach was a short walk, but, a cart to carry beach items would have been very useful. The charcoal grill was a bit nasty, but we used grill pads. We had great views, the price was right and would definitely stay there again. We all had a great time, and many thanks to the owners for sharing your house.

The Derringer Clan is back in our favorite place and working our way towards a decade of vacas with Do Me Good. No place we’d rather gather together than CSB and this house has become a an extension of home when we are under its roof. Summer without Do Me Good just isn’t summer.

This home was comfortable and plenty of space for 16 of us. The AC worked really well. There were plenty of dishes and all the appliance worked well. The beach access was a little further than we thought so we definitely got our steps in each day.

For the reasonable price, we were pleased. We did experience some extreme temperature differences in the house. Some bedrooms were very, very hot, and the main room was freezing. We had some pretty smart people in the group and we could not get the TV to work. Otherwise, it was positive and we things above remedied, we would stay there again.

Do Me Good is always a pleasure for us to return to, year after year. It is a clean, very well-equipped house. Decor is pleasing, feeling more like home and friends than sterile and impersonal. View is amazing from the sunroom, where we ate most of our meals, looking out over the Gulf, to the decks looking both east to the Bay and west to the Gulf. One can enjoy both sunrises over the Bay and sunsets over the Gulf, always beautiful. Coastal Joe Rental Agency was very responsive to any needs we expressed and very easy to work with. Although there is a great amount of building going on out on the Cape, the neighborhood location for Do Me Good still seems quiet and somewhat set apart from the hectic world. And, of course, the beach!! Too much truck and driving traffic on it, unfortunately, makes walking the beach difficult sometimes, but nevertheless it is an exceptional beach to walk, to swim, to fish, to shell, to enjoy. If you are looking to cook and eat in, the kitchen is a cook’s dream come true, and lots of eating area at extensive counter/bar seating and dining table for 6 or 8.. A gas grill would be a welcome addition for outdoor cooking. You will enjoy your stay in Do Me Good.

The rental was very comfortable and roomy, kitchen was fully equipped. We couldn’t figure out how to watch tv (no less than 6 remotes), but it didn’t matter. Beds were fine but need better pillows. Both sliding glass doors had issues, one didn’t open at all and we were told there was no intention of fixing it. But all in all a very positive experience.

The house was amazing. The view of the Gulf was great. Loved sitting on the decks in the morning. The bedrooms were very nice and mattresses comfortable too. The main living room kitchen area was so large and easily fit our family size for dinner. The kitchen was very well stocked. Highly recommend this home. Easy walk to the beach. The only downfall is there us not much to do. Very remote.

Everything was updated and clean. Tons of rooms for cars and trailers. The kitchen was huge!

The house was perfect for our large group.

The only warning I would give is if you have little kids it’s a bit close to the main road. Our youngest kid there was 6 and he was fine, but if you had younger ones it might be tough.

This is the third time I have stayed in this beautiful property. I found the management team easy, friendly and prompt. The house itself is awesome - clean, spacious and welcoming. It is about 100 yards from the most amazing beach, and has everything you would need to enjoy a brilliant holiday, on the gem that is Cape San Blas. I would strongly recommend this to a friend, fully confident that they would have a genuine and overwhelming positive experience. I simply cannot wait to return - Keith.

We came previously in September and loved the Cape, and Do ME Good was perfectly positioned for a quiet part of the beach. We loved it so much we came back - a group of 8 this time, but the house would comfortably fit more.

Everything worked, was clean, and Coastal Joe made it easy at check in and check out. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed 2 1/2 months in Do Me Good and enjoyed it immensely. Although this winter was colder than normal there as well as almost every where, still we were able to walk and bike, wander on the beach and collect shells, and enjoy all the beauty of the Gulf. We ate our meals on the enclosed sun porch looking out over the scene pictured, except for times when we entertained company. The kitchen is wonderful!! The dining room has ample room to seat 8 easily at the table with more seating at the eating bar and counter. Meal prep is a joy in the well equipped kitchen: Very adequate amt of dishes and silverware as well as cook ware; 2 wall ovens and a cook top; 2 refrigerators. The house was clean when we came, except for interior windows that could have used a scrub, and both ovens VERY dirty. The rental agency was very prompt to get cleaners in to take care of the ovens. The agency was responsive to needs and friendly. Beds were comfortable, linens supplied were adequate in number and in good condition. Windows and screens on the sun porch could use some work, but for the most part guests would be using AC, which worked very well. Audio onTV in the great room is not good; hopefully TV or at least sound bar will be updated/replaced. The front deck is a wonderful place to enjoy the sun, watch the birds and marvel at the beautiful sunsets. The house layout is excellent for large groups or multiple family stays with bedrooms and baths upstairs and down, multiple TVs, games and books in the house for guest use. Living room furniture needs replacement, but we hear that that is happening. Altogether, Do Me Good is a wonderful vacation stay in a friendly neighborhood, only a very short walk to a beautiful beach. Only complaint about the beach is allowing driving on the beach, which makes the sand almost unwalkable at times, rutted and chewed up and sometimes makes for dangerous vehicle/pedestrian interactions...a few near hits.

We have rented this home several times over the years. The location is not Gulf front, but has a beautiful view , including gorgeous sunsets out toward the west and lovely sunrise skies to the east. The house is very larger and bedrooms are great,beds comfortable, bedding supplied. Outdoor decks, both covered and uncovered, and an enclosed sun porch bring the outdoors in. Furniture in the great room is not awfully comfortable, and TV there needs updating, but the kitchen is wonderful and allows for gathering and cooking for a crowd. Parking is adequate for several cars. We love the house and hope to return next winter.
