Sandcastle by the Sea

nice home, not issues. would rent again.

Our family of four had a wonderful vacation at Sandcastle by the Sea. It is located in a quiet area just a short 1 minute walk from the beach and a short 3 minute walk from a few shops, such as groceries, donuts, ice cream and a fresh fish market. I think this beachhouse would comfortably fit up to 6 people and possibly 8, although we did not use the sleeper sofa in the living room. The property is not new and some items, such as carpeting, may seem a little dated, but the property has great features, perfect location, beautiful decorations, practical amenities and was very clean. The pictures do not do the property justice as there are many windows that let in natural light. The ocean and sunsets are partially visible from the master bedroom/balcony. We did not use the balcony much and the furniture is a little dated. The kitchen was very nice and we enjoyed gathering there in the evenings at the end of our beach days. I have allergies to mold and some pets and am sensitive to smells and I did not have complaints at all about any part of the house at any time during our stay.

The house is very lovely and it is close to everything you could want and a short walk to the beach. It was very clean, we enjoyed our stay and would love to come again.

We stayed here with my family of 5, plus my parents. 7 of us were very comfortable, plenty of space and it is very nice. The short walk to the beach was no problem. The chairs and paddle boards were waiting on us when we arrived. Check in and out was a breeze. We have already started planning to come back next year!

Limited views and no pool was ok with us because we spent all day at the beach. We brought a wagon to tote stuff there and back. Well equipped kitchen.

The house is in a great location for walking to the beach and walking to several stores. The house is beautiful, especially the hardwood floors. The bedrooms was very comfortable and loved that each bedroom had its private bathroom. House is great, would definitely stay again.

2nd year in same house...works well for us...would be nice for those of us who fly down if a couple of bikes and beach chairs came with house like Outerbanks rentals provide

My wife and I were very surprised at how well furnished our vacation home was. I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the vacation home also. The rental process was very easy, and all communications were very clear. I would definitely rent a vacation home from Coastal Joe again.

We did not see the house on the website before arriving and pulled in late at night. Looked at the house and thought we were at the wrong address!

This is a cute home if you don't really want to be right on the beach. It's a short walk to the beach access and The Trading Post. The home is well stocked and was very clean. The master bed and bath are amazing. The decks are nice with some gulf view. I will say that the outdoor furniture was not very nice, but we spent most of our time on the beach anyway. Overall a nice home.

Very clean, fully equipped, no hidden costs, private back deck, close to beach and they made sure we had everything we needed!

In six years, this is our third time here and we love this property.

We had friends staying in homes down the beach and ended up staying mostly at their houses so all the kids could play. So we didn't get as much time in the house as we would have liked. It's a gorgeous home with lots of decks and short walk to beach.
