Escape to the Cape: Your Coastal Retreat Awaits! Experience tranquility with stunning sunrises from your private deck, fill your days with adventure from kayaking, to playing cornhole, and relaxing on the beach, then gather together for breathtaking sunsets on the large radial deck overlooking the Gulf. After a day of fun in the sun, relax in the hot tub or gather around the cozy fire pit and roast marshmallows under the starry sky. No matter how you choose to fill your day, this is an idyllic setting for relaxation!
You’ll be in old Florida with dog friendly beaches, sugar sand and the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, dolphins and turtles, pelicans flying in formation and the occasional view of a bald eagle perched in a tall pine. Sanctuary is a 10-minute walk to the Trading Post and the same distance to the Donut Hole if you get up early enough to score some fresh donuts. Kayak in the Gulf or in the bay. Fish from the beach or rent a pontoon boat from Presnell’s. There’s lots to do, but time slows down here.
Sanctuary is an oasis away from home with breathtaking Gulf and Bay views! Situated in a prime location, this remarkable, first-tier home boasts high ceilings with spacious terraces, rainfall showers, wide stairways and an elevator if desired. With this home, every detail has been carefully considered, from the French Oak wood floors to the natural stone accents and heated bathroom floors.
Upon entering Sanctuary, you will find a great place for the kids (2 built-in custom twin bunks) and Bedroom 2 with a king bed … both with full bathrooms and heated floors if you’re visiting in the cooler months. On the 2nd level you will enjoy Bedroom 3, (Queen sleeper sofa) and the gorgeous kitchen, spacious dining and living area with plenty of games on hand. On the 3rd level enter a tranquil retreat to your Sanctuary Suite, which encompasses the entire upper floor offering a peaceful refuge with a tray ceiling and two private decks facing the Gulf and the bay. Unwind in the jetted tub, indulge in the convenience of a wet bar, or find inspiration in the adjoining office/library space.
The kitchen is a chef's dream boasting a 36'' Wolfe gas cook-top and stainless-steel appliances. Custom cabinets with under-cabinet lighting, granite counter tops, a large breakfast bar and an island that provide both style and functionality making meal preparation a delight!
With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, in the main house, there is ample space for a relaxing stay. Or you can escape to a private carriage house using the elevated, covered walkway. This charming carriage house has an additional bedroom, full bathroom, and a kitchen. It’s a versatile and convenient space for special guests or extended family.
When you're ready to get active, it’s four minutes over a private walkway that connects you to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Or, if you prefer, take the Kayak’s (provided) over to a private gated dock for a fun time of exploring the sand bars or the shallow waters of St. Joseph Bay.

Sanctuary is a beautiful house with a gorgeous view of the Cape and the gulf. We were on a girls weekend trip and the house was perfect for our needs. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms to spread out. The open concept kitchen living room is great. I also appreciated how large the kitchen is. Sanctuary is a short walk on the boardwalk to the beach, close to the Trading Post and restaurants near by. We had fires on the beach at night and left with new memories. I can’t wait to go back!

My girlfriends and I stayed at this beautiful home for a much needed getaway. The house was lovely with so much room, up to date appliances, and an elevator to help with the heavy stuff. Everything about the house was top notch. I enjoyed watching the sunsets on the back deck. The beach was practically private. It was only a very short walk to a private access path. We spent so much time soaking up the sun, and I even found a bunch of shark's teeth! It was sad to leave, but we are already planning on our next trip. There were so many sleeping options, we are going to bring our husbands and kids next time! I highly recommend this beautiful vacation home. You won't regret it!

Absolutely the perfect house for a girls' get away weekend! There are so many bonus features that make this house a luxury vacation home. The heated floors in the master bathroom, along with the custom closet and panoramic views of the bay from the work space off the master; these are all noteworthy upgrades that define this unique home. The kitchen in this home is HUGE and contains all the proper tools and more (like the wine fridge) to create memoriable meals such as the ones we prepared and enjoyed at the dining table as we watched the sunset. The elevator was yet another feature that made our trip easy and relaxing. We could pack our coolers and beach bags in the kitchen and send it down to the first level to transport to the beach. We throughly enjoyed sipping our wine by the newly installed firepit and with the additon of the hot tub, I can see this as the perfect year round vacation spot. We were thankful to the owner's for the nice beach chairs and other outdoor toys such as kayaks and yard games. My friends and I enjoyed our time together at The Sanctuary for our much needed retreat. I would like to book this house in the future for our annual muli- generational family trip because of the immenities it offers and the additional carriage apartment.

We enjoyed the Sanctuary because of the location (close to Weber's and the Trading Post), the space of the three floors and carriage house, use of the elevator for convenience of unpacking, packing luggage and groceries but also the gourmet kitchen. The communication with the property management team at Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals was outstanding! They kept us updated throughout the entire process and made check-in seamless. So not only is the Sanctuary highly recommended working with Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals too.

We enjoyed another week visiting Cape San Blas! We noticed this house a few years ago and we were so excited when we found it available for a last minute beach trip. The house is beautiful! While not right on the water, the private boardwalk access was so close to the house (door to sand less then 2 min) We would absolutely stay here again! We were just a short walk to the trading post as well. Coastal Joes has been a great company to work with over the years! They were very attentive and easy to contact with questions.

The Sanctuary was a perfect property and setting for our family of 7 (and grand dogs- very pet friendly prop). Love the open space in main living/kitchen area. Close walk over boardwalk to the beach, which was absolutely beautiful, best sunsets ever too! Close to Trading Post (4-minute walk) for any necessities needed while there.
Management attentive and responded quickly to all our needs while there. Great communication for anything we needed.
Will definitely go back to The Sanctuary next time we plan a trip Cape San Blas.
