Absolutely stunning beach house! We had an incredible stay at this property. The location couldn't be better – just steps away from the beach with breathtaking ocean views. The house itself is beautifully designed and furnished, with plenty of space for our group. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bedrooms are comfortable, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sound of the waves. What really sets this property apart is the value for the price. Considering the prime beachfront location and the quality of the accommodations, it's truly a steal. The host was also fantastic – very responsive and accommodating. They provided clear instructions for check-in and were available to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better beach house experience. We'll definitely be returning in the future and recommending this property to all our friends and family.

The condo was cozy and welcoming. The breathtaking views from the balcony will be forever in our memories for many years to come. The location was perfect, easy to access and right on the beach. The house was spacious, 4B/4B is definitely a plus. Beds and bedding were super comfortable. No issues with parking at all. Host was super attentive and quick to respond to any questions. Will definitely stay again.

Not sure why I am even writing this, words just won't do our experience justice. We have always had fantastic experiences w/ Coastal Joe properties and this one was no different. The location could not have been better. The house itself was immaculate, not only the cleanliness but how was it was stocked, i mean it had everything. I would talk about the short walk to the beach but really there was no walk........the beach is right there. We will be back and will always recommend Coastal Joes to friends and family.

Everything was as described and more, fishing equipment such as beach fishing wagon, beach stakes, a fish cleaning station outside,a nice path to the water. We were very pleased, it was quiet and clean. We had a very nice time, would recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation. The only thing I would recommend NOT renting a golf cart, as it is almost impossible to get to the beach. Thank You

We absolutely loved our stay. We’ve been coming to the cape for years. This is by far our most favorite place we’ve stayed. The house is well stocked with everything you need. It was very clean. Make sure to bring extra toilet paper. Only 1 roll per bathroom was provided. My only complaint would be the beds aren’t the most comfortable, but they were ok. We will definitely stay here again.

It was just two of us and our little 11-lb dog so many of the rooms did not get used, however worked perfect for us. I am so picky that I always travel with bedding and slip covers for furniture - so was pleasantly surprised the home was so well cared for and clean. Everything needed to enjoy the home's amenities and beach was provided. My favorite place to relax was on either patio overlooking the beach and in the evenings the pool was fantastic to cool off in. The outside shower was awesome and loved the large jacuzzi tub in the owner's suite. Since this is a pet friendly rental, the only thing I would highly recommend is posting a warning sign or simply removing the Sago Palms since they are extremely deadly to dogs. Absolutely beautiful location and would certainly stay here again.

Our first trip to Cape San Blas was AWESOME!! We have been vacationing in the DESTIN/SAN DESTIN area for 20 years. CAPE SAN BLAS will take your breath away. Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals by far is the best rental company we have ever dealt with in 20+ years of renting various properties in FL. Upon arrival, we met the very friendly staff and everything was ready to go. The communication months before our arrival and during our stay was great. The House was amazing!! We have high expectations and they were exceeded. Very clean house, heated pool and plenty of beach chairs and a Ocean Kayak. We had zero issues and never had to call Coastal Joe's for anything. If you are looking in the Cape San Blas area, Coastal Joes gets the highest marks for any rental company from us. I'm sure if we had needed them during our stay, they would have been on the spot immediately. Thanks Coastal Joe and we will see you soon.

Coastal Joe is very professional and accommodating! Only downfall was the pool heat didn't work for the week but we got our money refunded for that. Also the house wasn't cleaned very good prior to arrival. There was quite a buildup of dust on things and it didn't seem the floors were not wet mopped. Other than that beautiful place with the perfect view

Beautiful Accommodation’s and super stocked kitchen, even a crockpot and a crib! Our family enjoyed everything about this beautiful beach front home except the super low toilets. But it’s worth the squat. We would definitely return.

It was very nice and relaxing. We called and left a message regarding the downstairs shower flooding. We never heard back from anyone. We mopped and cleaned it up, but wanted them to check it. Luckily it only happened twice. It was after hours, but not after 7:00 pm.

Beautiful home, newly renovated. Amazing views and beach access. The third floor balcony provided a wonderful respite for our niece who is battling cancer. Provided her with a great place to relax and recover. Can't beat the beach access and this really quiet part of the cape.

We had a great time at Footprints in the sand. The house was very clean and well stocked. LOVED the undercounted ice maker. The beach was very nice, clean and non crowded. Coastal Joe was very easy to work with and made everything a breeze. Only thing that would have been easier is having a keyless lock.

If you have elderly parents/grandparents the stairs might be an issue and toilets are very low to the ground, but that did not affect us at all. This home has RUKU TV, not cable so there was a bit of a learning curve and they tend to go out quite frequently. Cell service on the island is not great, but the home has wifi which worked well. All bedding was comfortable, there was plenty of storage and a full size washer and dryer. Each bathroom had a hairdryer as well. The swing downstairs was the kids favorite hangout spot. The pool is very small but it is the perfect place for an afternoon retreat from the sun. The driveway is gravel which proved challenging to our Yorkie. He didn't want to walk on it but we just carried him over it to the sandy area. There is a Pinestraw bed as well for those pup potty breaks. We brought our tent with us and used that for shade on the beach. The home has umbrellas, life vests, beach toys, lots of boogie boards, a skim board, and kayak available to renters. The kids enjoyed the swing very much. The outdoor shower and hose on the bottom deck made it easy to keep things rinsed off and clean. Overall, the house has everything you need for a perfect vacation. We will definitely return. Thank you for an amazing vacation.

Overall stay was good. Disappointed with amount of hot water. We never had a decent hot shower during the stay. Home owner should supply more than 1 roll of paper towels and toilet paper for guest. Not saying they should provide all but more than what was provided. Also if expected to was towels and dishes prior to departure they should give more washing material for both.

Great getaway in January with the quiet Cape. The house is right on the beach, and the pool was heated for the kids. It would have been a little more convenient if the house had a key pad instead of keys. Plenty of room for everyone.

We enjoyed spending another great family vacation on the cape. We had the pleasure of staying at Footprints on the Sand for this trip. Everyone was very pleased with the home. It exceeded our expectations. We did have a few issues that although would not be what we call deal breakers, they were slightly frustrating at times. Bathroom doors do not lock properly in some of the bathrooms. We had to make a rule that you do not enter a bathroom if the door is closed. The lighting in the house was challenging, this become a constant joke with everyone because there are so many switches it is hard to remember or figure out which ones turns on which lights in which room. :). The fireplace was out of service. This was really disappointing because it was one of the things we were hoping to enjoy while being there. The main thing that was the most challenging was the doors. Specifically the ones on main level going out to Beach. It’s very difficult to get them to unlock and lock due to the locking system on the door and it was very frustrating when although they were locked a simple push would open both sets of doors. To us this seemed to make the home feel a little unsafe. We would have easily rated this home 5 stars if it weren’t for these issues.

We had an amazing week in Cape San Blas and Footprints in the Sand was the perfect house for our extended family. There was plenty of room and we loved that each family had their own level and bathroom for a little privacy. The main level bedroom was perfect for my parents to have fewer steps to navigate and the basement living space gave my teenaged niece her own 'room' away from the little kids. The house was stocked with anything we needed to cook or enjoy the beach and the views cannot be beat! The master porch swing was my favorite place to nap! We would definitely stay here again!

The only suggestions I would give is an area rug in the larger living spaces may help with the noise level in the house (lots of people + hardwood floors - it got a little loud!). Instructions on how to get the cable TVs working would have been helpful and just an FYI that the wifi did not really work (it was very slow). It wasn't a big deal for us since we wanted to be electronic free for the week, but I know some people may be renting houses to work remotely right now and I don't think that would be possible. Overall, I would highly recommend this house and Coastal Joe rental company!

The house was beautiful. But had a few issues; in particular., the lights in the master just came on in the middle of the night.....not sure why. Other than that. The house had everything you could ask for.

The house was ideal and very nice. The main great room and Kitchen was great place to hang out out with wonderful view of the beach (and sunsets!). All the bedrooms were very well decorated in beach vibe. The master bedroom was particularly nice with its own porch and wonderful views. The house was incredibly well stocked with kitchen gear as well as beach gear. It was a perfect stay with the beach just footsteps away. And a pool to cool down in the afternoon with good shade.

We booked the house from early June 2020. Two families with 4 kids and dogs. It was an ideal week. The house has a wonderful main living area/kitchen that looks out to the beautiful beachfront. Same with the deck off this living area and the deck for the master bedroom. Hard to miss a gorgeous sunset (we saw a number). All rooms were nice but the master bedroom was particularly nice. The house is also incredibly well-stocked in the kitchen and with beach amenities. The pool was perfect in the afternoon as it became the latter spot of day with shade and great area for kids to take a break from the first half of the day that was spent on the beach. The beach area in front of the house wasn't at all crowded (reality is most of the cape beaches are not so crowded but our area was particularly not crowded). Quality of beds, sheets, bathroom towels, etc. was great as well. Owner was highly responsive to our questions. The place was very clean when we arrived - as they are taking extra precautions with cleanliness and sanitizing due to COVID. Highly recommend. Being on the right on the beach is hard to compete with.

We recently stayed at this house in June of 2020 and it was a wonderful experience. The views from the house and location cannot be beat. It was clean and had all the amenities we could ever need at the beach. We have found our new favorite destination.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week! This house is perfect. Nothing has been overlooked - The kitchen has everything you could think of. The house has just been remodeled, and we were honored to be the first guest to experience it. It has lots of room and is well set up for groups to have their own space with 3 "suites". The swings on the porches feel like the water is under your feet it is so close to the beach. Cleanliness is very important to us, and it was spotless. The owner and the management company were extremely nice to work with and checked in with us during our stay to see if we needed anything. Needless to say, we would highly recommend "Footprints in the Sand" and will definitely return!

This was our second year. Everything was in good shape in spite of the hurricane the year before. We had 11 people in the house and was ample space. Gas grill was not usable but we had taken our own tail gating grill. Cable for TV was not working but it was repaired within a day. Overall, good experience and we will go back.

We had a wonderful time staying at Footprints in the Sand. Everything was clean upon arrival and the amenities were sufficient. Customer service is always helpful when needed. We love to stay on the beach or fish in the bay and this was perfect for both. Just a couple of minor issues with the condition, but those are easy fixes. We will definitely return next year and will recommend this property to friends and family.

The house is beautifully situated and overall very comfortable and attractive. We had a great time with family and friends. The location is very close to the trading post grocery store and seafood market, ice cream stand, etc. The house had plenty of boogie boards, toys and a few chairs that we used. The beach is absolutely gorgeous.

The maintenance and amenities could use some attention. The large burner on the stove did not work which made meals that required boiling large pots of water (shrimp, pasta) take forever on a smaller burner. There were not enough forks for our party of 12, even though the house sleeps 16, and no plastic cups--we bought some and left them there. There was no drying rack for dishes and no dishtowels. The door to the deck and the carport are a challenge to close and keep closed--the handles need tightening or replacing. The housekeeping when we arrived was a little slack. There was a travel mug of coffee left by the first floor TV when we arrived, a gummy bear on the floor of the twin bunk room, and several brown stains on the spread in the master bedroom. There were several tolietry items left behind in the master bathroom drawers--a used make up sponge and emery board.The smoke alarm by the door to the front deck was missing and wires dangled. These were all small annoyances, but they added up to a mediocre impression of the property maintenance.

This was a lovely rental close to the beach. It had all the amenities needed. We love eating at the Indian Pass raw bar and renting a pontoon boat from Seahorse rental. We saw dolphin everyday and caught a fee fish.

Relaxing

Excellent location. Close to Trading Post and 24h ice. Everything in house in working order with adequate A/C. Would stay in same residence if available. Highly recommend to any large family.

Our visit at Footprints in the Sand was for all of February-great weather-off season very low traffic. The sand is white; water is crystal clear. The floor plan is set up nicely for a large group; open kitchen w/counter seating, that is open to a dining area with an round table. Every bedroom has it's own bath.the views are gorgeous! The dishes, pots/pans, utensils, towels, bedding, furniture, etc.. were really nice, much higher quality than other rentals we've experienced over the past 10 years. If this house was on St. George, I'd imagine the rent would be $6Kish/week and we think Cape San Blas is nicer and more private, if you compare the rates, it's less than half. The only quirks to Cape San Blas, CSB, cell-service was sporadic. There IS a gas station and two great little markets within 7-10min away-good!; the closest full service grocery store is about 25 min from this house in Port St. Joe. There are awesome restaurants in both Apalachicola (40min away)and Port St. Joe. CSB is a bit limited on dining options and is a wide-open opportunity for someone wanting to open a restaurant. All restaurants within 15-20 min have great food/service. If you want a seafood, go to 13 Mile in Apalach,and have a beer at Oyster City Brewing Company before you come back to CSB or you pick up fresh catch at Mark's or Triple Tail, and make it to your liking and eat on your deck, there's nothing better! We had such a great experience, we are going to book the house again for next year. If I were going to buy FL, this is where I'd buy and build. If you want low-key and beautiful, you've found!

We had a great Christmas getaway with family. Property location was excellent and the house was good. There is some issues with the locks for the house and it needs to be fixed, we had trouble getting keys to work. Some doors could not be unlocked from the outside. We also had a few areas that needed to be cleaned better, nothing major but there were bugs dead in several areas including the tubs. The location made up for any issues and we had a great stay.

Prior to our stay, we were contacted by Coastal Joe Vacation Rental Owner, Scott, to inform us that the house we rented had been damaged in a storm. Scott was AMAZING in how he handled this difficult situation! Coastal Joe did everything right. We were traveling with friends who also had problems with their house booked through Sunset Reflections Rental Company and Coastal Joe took care of them too because Sunset Reflections was extremely unaccommodating. Our goal in future bookings will be to rent houses only through Coastal Joe. Our only minor complaint was that one of the televisions did have a cable box so we could not pick up the cable stations and could only watch DVDs.

I think we have rented Footprints in the sand for 3 years. It's a nice rental. We enjoyed our stay.

Thoroughly enjoyable

When we checked into the house named Footprints In the Sand it was instant relaxation for our group. The house was comfortable and accomodated our 12 very well. We rested well and played hard with such enjoyment. We did have some difficulty arranging the families together but this was minor. We all fell in love with The Cape and plan to visit in coming years. The staff were friendly and did what they could to fix the fer oroblems we ran into. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Had a party of 5 adults and two small children. The house was perfect in accommodating this group and the proximity to a wonderful beach is outstanding. Glad we found it.

We love Cape San Blas. The house we had been renting for the past couple of years was taken off the market when we originally booked so we looked for something new. Footprints is a beautiful place. The big kids took over the 1st level and the little ones were on the top level. I think the only thing I would change is to put a King sized bed in the 2nd floor bedroom and possibly open one of the owners closets as a pantry (storage space for food is limited). The hose at the base of the stairs just outside the main deck is a great touch as is the bar height table and chairs on that same deck. The people at
Coastal Joe's are very attentive and really take time to listen and make sure that our vacation was even better than expected.
We love Cape San Blas but we still want this to stay beautifully unspoiled so Shhhhhhh.

We had a wonderful time at this home. A few minor issues needed attention but they were done with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of care and consideration. The access to the beach is a little overgrown by dune greenery but provides easy access the the wonderful beach. The hand cart was useful transporting things to and from the beach. Property managers and staff were all very pleasant and accessible attending to any issues that arose. Fires on the beach most enjoyable and dolphins were visible nearly every day. We even had a friendly pelican visit us from time to time.

The stay was very good. the house was very clean and we had no problems for the entire week. Grandparents, kids and grandkids all had a great time.

Our extended family of 14 people recently stayed at 'Footprints in the Sand'. What a beautiful, quiet beach location. The house was overall very nice and decorated well. A few small things such as outdoor locks rusted from the salt air, making doors difficult to lock were noted. Also, the living area is quite small, without enough seating to accommodate 14 guests although the sleeping arrangements did accommodate everyone. The kitchen could use a food storage pantry as there was nowhere to store the food purchased for such a large party. The wine cooler looks nice but does not cool sodas to an adequately cool temperature so it was essentially wasted space. A second refrigerator or ice maker would be more helpful as we had to purchase ice multiple times during our stay. The refrigerator ice maker was quite slow and couldn't keep up with the needs of 14 people. The beds were comfortable, the hardwood floors were in good condition, kitchen cabinets and countertops all very nice. There was a nice assortment of beach chairs, toys, and floats for guest use. I would suggest they extend the boardwalk to include steps down to the beach as provided by the houses on either side. Two grandmothers were included in our family and they had difficulty walking in the soft sand at the steep area to reach the boardwalk.

It's always a joy to return to the Cape, and we so appreciate owners who maintain and rent their gorgeous homes to the general public. Footprints was another great experience for our family vacation. There are so many positive things about this home. And there were a few items that did need to be addressed. I told someone at checkout about the leaking kitchen faucet. The slow leak at the base of the center nozzle caused a wet countertop and ran off at the back of the counter near the WIFI and phone hook-ups. When I realized what was happening, I placed a paper towel and two sponges around the site to soak it up. I attempted to call the office twice and when the line was busy I did not attempt to call back. What I forget to tell you all at checkout regarded a clogged sink in the master bath. The shorter of the two vanities, the sink on the same wall as the tub, did not drain well. It was not a major problem, and my husband did not want repair people in the home during our stay, so we worked around it.
I also told the lady at checkout about the sandy floor. Yes, we were at the beach, but there was no vacuum- just a hose, but no motor, nor was there a broom.
We LOVED the captains chairs on the porches, that made the water view exceptional. The sunsets were spectacular!
There was no way to lock up the home and we understand from neighbors this is an ongoing concern.
We were pleased and most appreciative, and look forward to returning to the Cape next year.

We have stayed at Cape San Blas for several years and always use Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals. They are always courteous, helpful, and great to work with. The properties are always clean and have never had any issues with the property or company.

We rented two houses near each other and both Footprints in the Sand and King's Landing were fabulous! We had everything we could need or want. Footprints was dog friendly and child friendly. We had a wonderful family reunion/spring break and EVERYONE wants to do it again!

Great property and location. Coastal Joe management employees were the best we've ever dealt with - thank you for making our experience so easy. We will definitely be revisiting next summer.

Very nice house clothes washer may need some help soon

We had a great week. House interior was beautiful. The few items we needed help with were addressed very quickly by rental company. Cell service on cape is always a pain but free long distance helped immensely. I will give up cell for beautiful crowd and high rise free, pet friendly beach with gorgeous sunsets.

We had a great time, wonderful area. We stayed for two weeks during the Christmas and New Years holiday's, and would do it again in a heart beat. We had Christmas dinner on the back porch overlooking the ocean in shorts and flip flops. Loved it, while all of our family and friends froze up North. This was our first time to Cape San Blas, and it is truly a special place. The fact that it is so unplugged was no problem for us. I worked off and on throughout the vacation from the house. No cell phone service was available, but house has unlimited long distance so I could be reached, and could call out. Sitting deckside with my laptop open on the wireless working was a dream. Kitchen fully stocked so we felt like we were at home cooking every night. The Trading Post general store down the street surprisingly has everything needed. Even the ingredients for a last minute pumpkin pie was no problem for them. They are fully stocked.

We had a wonderful time, and already planning our next trip!

Beautifully decorated and equipped for a perfect beach vacation! This home had the best equipped kitchen of any rental home in which we've ever stayed. Would stay in this home again in a heartbeat. Great value!

Footprints in the Sand was a very nice rental. It was new to the rental market so it was still very clean. New and clean cooking utensils. Hope you can keep it that way. We will return.
