The unit is showing its age and has maintenance issues, but overall it is comfortable and ideal for my purposes. I have indicated that there are problems with the electrical, heat, and clothes dryer (just replaced new) which I believe could cause an electrical fire, but so far there seems to be little interest in getting these issues resolved. I believe that is not management's oversight but may be likely to be the reluctance of owners to make major additional investment in the property. My viewpoint is this: if I were the owner of the other unit in this 25-year-old framed beach duplex, I would be trying to take out extra fire insurance. Otherwise, the unit is comfortable and has a nice view of sunsets in the Gulf.
